BharatBenz 1017 Chassis

The BharatBenz 1017 Chassis is a front-engine bus cowl chassis with a 10,600 kg GVW, designed for body builders making school, staff and tourist buses. It uses the 3907 cc 4D34i inline four-cylinder turbocharged, intercooled BS-VI diesel producing 170 hp and 520 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

On a 5300 mm wheelbase with an 8493 mm length, it has parabolic suspension with double-acting shock absorbers and anti-roll bars at both ends, air brakes with ABS, tubeless 235/75 R17.5 radials, a 9.3 m turning radius and a 160-litre fuel tank. It is offered in AC form, with power steering with tilt adjustment.
