The Tata Prima 5530.S LNG is a 4x2 heavy truck rated for 55,000 kg GVW/GCW that runs on liquefied natural gas instead of diesel. It is powered by the Cummins ISB 6.7 G BS6 Phase 2 gas engine making 205 kW and 1100 Nm, paired with Tata's G1150 9-speed gearbox, and twin 450-litre LNG tanks give it the range for long-haul trips.

It rides on a 3900 mm wheelbase with a heavy-duty riveted and bolted ladder frame, a heavy-duty RA 114 rear axle, parabolic front suspension and 290 mm ground clearance. The tiltable facelift sleeper cabin seats D+2, with tilt-and-telescopic steering and an adjustable seat, making it suited to fleets that want lower emissions on fixed long-distance routes.
